Final post of our Vacation -2013

The following are the final photos.  We spent time up sight seeing in the mountains, at the resort in the pool, relaxing in the villa watching a few movies, grilling great steaks, and just enjoying family time.

took this photo....

then just moments later, I took this one, you can see there is something in the clouds now.  Ohh scary!  I am sure it is a helicopter or something---but there was something there, and it was not a bug on the lens, or a bug in the air, or a piece of lint, or....it was behind the clouds.

one of my very favorite things to do is spend time at a river.  I could sit at the river for the day.   It is so peaceful!

I love taking photos of water

and I love taking photos close up of things....

you can see the water over the rocks, and it is so pretty isnt it? Just simple things like this...provided by the creator of all---LORD of all...

fun photos.  I like taking photos like this, sort of mystery like, just part of things...or people.

and then the pool!  Complete with a water fall, and two other smaller ones.  All on different levels.

You can see the water fall here, the rock for the falls.  The roof for the gazebo is behind that, there is a place for a fire in the gazebo.  There is a small warmer pool on the level of the rock for the water fall,  then another -more hot tub like, on a level even higher.

the warmer pool.  Smaller for sure, but it was a very cold day and the other pool, lowest level-was very cold.  Even for me!

someone has to do this job of resting and watching the younger ones.  I volunteered ...

grampa is sneaking up to the children!

Vacation day #3, and #4 of 2013

After going to Ripleys Aquarium, we went back from Gatlienburg into Pigeon Forge, stopped at the Kroger Grocery store for our groceries.  The guys decided they would wait in the car with the children, and we thought maybe about an hour of shopping.  Into the 2nd hour they came into the store wondering if we were kidnapped or something.

Finally we were done, then onto the meat market for steaks.  (I had purchased great steaks before we left, about $100 dollars worth of rib-eyes etc-and forgot them! ugg)

So we bought more steaks...great little meat market.

It was closer to the Cabins on the west location, which was fine, as we did not want to go thru town with that bumper to bumper traffic!  So back roads from the west location to the east location.

We were staying for the first time in a villa.

It was nice, well decorated, but a number of things were not there or kept up.  More on that later.

We carried everything in, and finally settled, we  prepared supper, guys grilled the meat, and a great supper was eaten.

you can see the 'rock' that comes out it is a water fall, at that rock level is a warmer pool, but the water for the falls does not come from that.  then up a little more is a hot tub.  You can see the gazebo roof up there too.

Sunday we just hung around the  place, swam, watched some movies, and rested and went  to the pool....  It was cold!!!! But in we went in anyway! After about 5 minutes, we went up to the warmer pool (there are 3 --the 2 upper ones ---one a small pool   that is warm, and the other, like a hot tub)  That all was fine.

Monday we went to town, to "old McDonalds miniature golf", shopping to the cast iron store where Nathan and Kasandra invested into their cast iron cook wear.  Then out to eat at Logans.

there are 3 different 'trails' to follow, so you can play for a long time.  You can do the "cow" route, or the "pig' route or the shorter one, the "chicken' route.   We chose the "cow route".

we said that is where you milk a cow!

Getting a little help on how to golf from his daddy

Josiah wanted to do it on his own!

Excited that he did it!

I asked him if he wanted a photo with the sheep, so he thought he would climb up onto it, but it was too 'hot' (a very very hot day outside!) so he just stood by it instead!

the group, with grampa in the end of the line!

someone hit their ball into the water pond and it floated down to the water edge where there is a water fall, I wonder who did that?

well now I guess we know who!

smile for the camera!

then after a golf game,   (and Jeremiah hit one a hole in one!) the arcade was next. Here they are picking out their prizes!

Jeremiah picked out a bracelet

Josiah picked out a helicopter

and their dad picked out some sidewalk chalk!

Ok I will get this one posted now, more later!
